Why voting (smartly) matters [View all]

I know it has been harped on DU by other people about how important it is to vote in elections.

Past two days have shown the consequences of people not voting or holding their noses high in the air because democrat party does not have their "perfect" candidate

Third part voters, protest voters, or those who did not vote have basically allowed our Supreme Court to be shifted solidly to the right for at least next 40 years.

As a minority I thank you for being so petty and dumb that your minor inconveniences (oh hillary took pay for a speech at an event so i can't vote for her; whoa a racist is coming to the white housee- nah I still can't vote for her because of my 'superior moral inclinations') have allowed conservatives to hijack this country and place women, minority, poor, and LGBT at risk.

Basically you had the luxury to make your decision because most of trump's actions wont affect you directly....now don't come back to these boards and act like you gave a shit, because frankly you didn't.

People may hate my post and bash me for it but I don't care. What I am writing is the truth.
