Like all Australians I have excellent healthcare and pharmaceutical coverage at a low cost and a reasonable pension which is indexed annually for the cost of living. Minorities, civil and women's abortion rights are protected despite Conservatives and Rupert Murdoch (he owns 70% of the newspapers here) plotting to destroy this social safety net. I'm still an American citizen, so it breaks my heart that the progress which began with LBJ's Civil Rights legislation at the time I was in harms way in Vietnam could be rolled back relentlessly if Trump succeeds in replacing Justice Kennedy with another Clarence Thomas type of extremist who's been groomed by the diabolical Federalist society.
