because Trump is going to leave a huge mess when he's gone, and the president will have to be someone who knows how to get down in the weeds and start fixing things. There are plenty of good people who will be much better suited for the job. Avenatti is a telegenic media star who may or may not be a good lawyer (I haven't seen him do much actual law yet). He's smart and articulate and has done a good job publicizing Daniels' case, to the deserved detriment of Trump and Cohen. But I haven't seen anything that suggests he'd be a better president than any of the people who already have years of experience in government and politics.
He's just the latest shiny object, like Oprah Winfrey was a few months ago.
