(463 posts)Roy Moore is an Alabama thing. You can't extrapolate from that. Alabama is not all of America. Parts of it, to be certain. But if you're using that as a justification for your white people statement, no. I'm a non-Southern white. I have no idea what those people were thinking. Most non-Southern whites, I suspect, watched that and went "Whaaaaaaaa . . ."
Trump didn't win the primary with any kind of majority. It's that Republicans had too many candidates running. The voting pool was so diluted that an asshole could emerge. And so he did. I actually worry a bit we'll do the same in 2020. I hope we only have, say, four real serious contenders and the rest bow out. The Republican primary of 2016 is an object lesson in why you don't let nine assholes up on a stage at a time. The biggest asshole will win. Trump was the biggest asshole.
The OP posts inflammatory anti-white content often, and I think it's on purpose. You probably feel differently. That's ok. But I'm looking for productive discussion that moves us forward as a party and as liberals. I think the OP likes the reactions and knows exactly what she's posting and doing and the reactions that follow. I'm not very impressed. It feels childish to me. "How can I make people mad? Oh, I know! Tee hee hee!"
Because that's what we need right now.
