7. I don't understand headlines like this.

This is a tragedy and totally avoidable had police used caution instead of haste (or legalizing weed), but the person wasn’t crushed BECAUSE he grew weed anymore than he was crushed because he placed himself in front of the bulldozer instead of surrending.

It was an accident of pursuit and maybe some negligence, but it’s alternative and I shouldn’t expect ethical journalism.
