Malcolm Nance is the guest on this week's episode of The Chauncey DeVega Show. He is a career intelligence and counterterrorism officer for the United States government. In his more than three decades working in that capacity, Nance served with U.S. Special Operations forces, the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies. He has worked in the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans, South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

Heed Malcolm Nance's words, he has sounded an alarm that 2018 may be our last chance to save our Democracy. I ask those that think it is wise to throw their well known names and political weight behind candidates that primary solid sitting Democratic leaders to back off a bit. There is a time and a place for that and 2018 is NOT it. Let them fight their primary. We are fighting for our lives here. Sadly some people don't seem to know or perhaps care. The demonstrations in the UK show that the world is watching and very much aware that what is happening here could possibly change their lives forever as well and not in a good way for any of us.

Stop trying to rip it all down to rebuild from scratch. Let's instead build upon the strong base we already have.
