(31,706 posts)I predicted months ago...when Willard avoided releasing tax returns during the primaries that the main reason was he didn't pay any taxes for several years. The fact he was quick to admit to the 13.9% rate (meaning all he declared were capital gains) showed he was willing to take that hit rather than have it revealed he was dodging taxes altogether. Even of the returns he's made public (2010)...he forgot to submit the schedules that would describe his foreign holdings. Forget about 2011...those are "on extention" until after the election.
Mittens could easily call Reid's bluff...all he has to do is produce the cancelled checks from his past tax filings. Surely that has to be documented somewhere. The fact he hasn't says to me Harry's got the goods here and can and will keep playing this card as long as Willard wants to dance.
