...in many ways, I am a small-c conservative myself, and have all sorts of opinions that don't jive with left-wing orthodoxy. (None of which I ever admit to here at DU, thank you.) It's more important that we get people who believe in empirical reality, and if that includes former GOPers, so be it. A grand Coalition of the Sane can adjudicate issues in a sane way, the way we used to in this country. Defeat the crazies, restore sanity to the republic...and we can move on from there.
