I guess I could have been called a "Clarkie." He warned us about the changing world economy and did not sugar-coat the fact that, without some changes, the emerging markets in India and China would leave the US in the dust.
He was not shy about revealing the lies and hypocrisy of the RW. He wanted to go after them.
I would have trusted him to go after Wall Street.
He, more than any other candidate of the day, was against the first use of military power. Most politicians are afraid they would sound weak if they did not bluster on about being aggressive with the military. Clark was the most judicious in his discussions of the use of military power.
Eisenhower once said that he feared the results when presidents who did not really understand how the military works, would hold office, implying that they could be easily bullied by the brass. That had come to pass many times over. Maybe Clark would have been different.
Thank you so much for not holding me responsible for a tv show - I was really worried about that.
