But I doubt he will resign even if the Feds are closing in on him. For one thing he'll never be as powerful and important as he is now doing anything else. I don't think his ego will allow him to let go of that. A second reason would be that he doesn't have the same ability to obstruct justice when he is gone. He is more likely to abuse his power in more extreme ways to try to make the investigations go away.
