But then, it could (apparently) be direct communications from our alien overlords to their minions here on earth who've taken over the bodies of Boomer rightwing nutjobs. Or, it could be a trio of puckish Italian authors working on reviving their book sales. Or it could be...)

No quotes from the article. It's Buzzfeed, after all. But the strangeness is strong and getting stronger. And the final gist of the article is that, essentially, the whole Qanon phenomenon has passed a kind of 'point of no return' where it's uncontrollably feeding on its own weirdness.

Ultimately it may well consume itself.

And while, I, personally, find the speculation that it's all a clever plot on the part of "leftists" (whatever they/we? are) to make reichwing goobers look even gooberer, in public and with massive spotlights on them, fairly winsome, I find it equally hard to believe that said anonymous speculative "leftists" wouldn't have better things to do with their time.
