(20,049 posts)34. It's a political maneuver and I'm willing to bet Pelosi is fine with it.
It's a Republican District and it was gerrymandered to keep it that way. He's fighting an extremely difficult fight there and this was a smart move for him.
He's in a very similar situation to Conor Lamb's. Who also publicly has been anti Pelosi due to the constituency he represents.
