Ugly has really shown up again from the grave 'decent' people were trying to bury it in. Even had 8 years of a decent human being as POTUS, his FLOTUS and his VPOTUS who really tried to do things right. And that in the face of unprecedented racist obstruction by the WSP/POP/GOP.
It just saddens me that this is always the go-to when white people want to prove they are REALLY in charge, always.....Civil War, 'free the slaves', segregation- Jim Crow-laws-regulation...on through to 1960's, white racism in the form of lynchings, drownings, disappearing whole family's, arresting and disappearing black men for 'vagrancy' and such. Renting them out to amerikkkan corporations doing the real dirty work, mining for elements needed and dying by the hundreds, graves never marked!!! Human beings murdered for the elements needed by U. S. Steel et al.
Killing, disappearing and lynching AA, everywhere and almost every day. Army veterans mostly because they saved up pay to buy land when the got finished serving this ungrateful and viciously racist country. Men and women who tried to grab hold of the 'American dream', everywhere and every day. My grandfather was one of them and he and the sheriff had an understanding, they were both vets of the same Hearst created conflict. Klan came one night, klan left empty-handed that night and never returned after a fairly short firefight. They never were to bother my family again. Long story short.
And here we are again with the 'white patriots' marching through the streets, killing and maiming. Ostensibly for their civil rights...what bullshit!!!!
We all look alike to them. That's why faux snooze did it. No other goddamn reason except they did it on purpose just to disrespect the Queen of Soul's passing.
