73. I try to imagine if Mr. Hogg had said

of say Obama, black Democrats just won't move the fuck off the plate and let us take control. Barack Obama is black. No one would defend that. Yet I fail to see any difference at all between that and what he did say. It is pure, unadulterated ageism. Just like my example would be pure, unadulterated racism. It is one thing to argue that Pelosi is unfit to be speaker because of something she actually did. It is quite another to say she is unfit simply for being old. One reason Pelosi was so old when she became speaker is because she was an old first time candidate back in 1987 when she was 47. And the reason she was such an old first time candidate is that she couldn't run while she had young children (something that Ryan didn't have to worry about since only women are made to worry about that). He got to run at age 29 and served during the entirety of the young childhood of his children. So yeah, he got to be speaker at age 45 after serving 16 years in Congress. She got to be Speaker at age 66 after having served 19 years. Funny how Mr. Hogg and all the others can't be bothered to mention the unvarnished sexism that caused her to have to wait to even run for office until her children were grown.
