... I agree he’s as bad in most, and certainly worse in some criteria.

But I think he’s significantly less electable than trump. He has no where near the “charisma” (I’m not even sure that’s the right word) trump seems to have with that base.

I think of it this way. If Kasich or Rubio had squeaked out 2016, and then ran the country the way trump has with the scandals and convictions - how many republican politicians would still be in their corner? Many, sure, but not anything like the cover trump enjoys. Part fear of turning off the base, part self incrimination, part fear of changing demographics - whatever it is, the Republican Party is terrified of crossing him or being against him in public. I don’t think any other person gets that protection. Not even Pence.

But don’t get me wrong. Pence is shit. I just think he’s a slightly smaller pile.
