In fact they will have to drag him out kicking and screaming. I believe he will even allow his kids to be thrown under the bus. The GOP will also support him to the bitter end too since they are guilty too and they want to be reelected. I expect the worst yet hope for the best, that way I am always prepared mentally to deal with disasters.
