Which is sad, because Idris Elba is an amazing actor and would have nailed the part. He would have been a great James Bond.

James Bond fans would have been mad that James Bond's skin color didn't match the character described in Ian Fleming's books.

What James Bond fans don't know (or conveniently choose to forget) is that the James Bond movies bear little resemblance to the books they're based on. Most of them literally (and I mean that literally AND figuratively) share only a title with the source material. Many of them don't even share that.
