(6,753 posts)I have fought for rights for all living creatures for well over 60 years. I worked a full time job and put just as many hours into the issues I fought for. I recognized the injustices and evils in the world that motivated me, but I did not embrace hate along the way. Hate does not result in victory. Recognizing evil and working to neutralize it kept me focused on the good and energized my efforts. The people I worked along side in the fight for a better world were also people who focused on the job at hand. Those who took time to hate, took their eye off the prize and were not as effective in the battle. You must acknowledge the good you find in people, not just the bad, because there is both in most people. Know what you are fighting for and focus less on who you are fighting against. Save your energy for the fight. Don't waste it on hate.
