11. The next time Democrats win the power

(assuming there IS a next time) we need to think strategically to cement into place reforms that make it impossible (or at least far less likely) that a cabal of billionaires in collusion with a foreign power and with the backing of a minority of voters can ever seize the government again. These steps would be in addition to trying to undo all the damage being done right now.

A few suggested steps:

1. As per above, expand the Supreme Court so that the majority of justices reflect majority opinion on issues such as campaign finance reform, reproductive rights, gun control, etc.

2. flush out as many RWNJ federal judges as possible (also per the above)

3. Undo all Trump executive orders

4. dismiss all Trump appointees to all federal posts.

But also:

4. work to abolish the Electoral College

5. grant statehood to Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia

6. pass anti-gerrymandering legislation with teeth (this would have to be done state by state)

7. amend the Voting Rights Act to undo the damage done by the USSC

8. grant pardons to ALL federal prisoners incarcerated because of non-violent drug offenses, and restore their voting rights

9. work outside the government to establish and fund a left wing alternative to Fox News and right wing radio, as well as breaking corporate media monopolies and oligarchies (that is to say, strengthen and enforce the anti-trust laws relating to corporate control of media)

10. bring back civics to public schools...

There's more, but this would IMHO be an agenda with long lasting advantages. NONE of this is anti-democratic with a small d, that is to say, none of this violates what should be the spirit of a genuine democracy--unlike Republican moves which are entirely motivated by the urge to limit access to power by the majority of American citizens.

Oh, and to be sure, prosecute to the fullest extent of the law each and every illegal action undertaken by the current regime.
