35. From my experience in the Army

Officers skew conservative and Republican
They have university degrees
Yes, they are white, not as male as when I was in (late 80's early 90's), but most officers are pretty conservative
Enlisted tend to be more representative of society: there are large segments of African-American and Hispanic
Line units tend to be very conservative as well (at least that was the case when I was in)

on edit:
The military, at least those that I interacted with, also tended to be from the south.
