Is Romeny's plea a sign of weakness a sign of weakness, or pretext for unleashing super PAC's? [View all]
I am not so sure Romney is scared so much as the Republicans are looking for their excuse to unleash the super PAC's between the conventions and election day. They used the 1988 Democratic convention to explain the attacks against Michael Dukakis. When John Mccain said that George W Bush 'Lies like Clinton', Rove cranked up the South Carolina smear machine. This smells like a similar setup. So let's not get cocky and assume Romney is crying 'No mas'.
