News reports expect Robert Mueller to "go quiet" before the election? [View all]

It's been reported that most expect Mueller to continue his investigation but to not come out with any information that might affect the mid-term elections. Whether or not Mueller abides by that unwritten "rule' remains to be seen?

However, no one expects Donald Trump to "go quiet" during this run-up to the election. The odds are that he will be very active on Twitter and elsewhere, tearing down the investigation at every stop.

Why should one side "go quiet" if the other is trying to destroy them?

This doesn't seem very wise to me?
