OMG! The Orange Howler spotted in clouds over Oregon! [View all]
I'm cleaning up my Lightroom catalogs today, and I came across this disturbing image from August 2013. It is a storm over the Newberry National Volcanic Monument (how appropos!). It was an intense storm, that put down over 10,000 lightning strikes and started many new wildland fires.
I took this shot from a wilderness fire lookout tower in the southeast corner of the Deschutes National Forest. The image metadata says August 25, 2013, at 7:33:18 PM.
The round mouth! The satanic eyes! THE HAIR!!!
