7. Why would they concede when they were successful in the Walker recall?

I realize that President Obama has always been likely to carry Wisconsin again, but aren't they counting on Tommy Thompson winning? (Truthfully, I haven't really been paying attention as of yet. Have the republicans even selected a nominee yet?)
