Bill Kristol: Mitt Picked Ryan Days Before I Started Telling Him To Do So
Bill Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard and avid proponent of Paul Ryan for VP, told Fox News Saturday the Romney campaign says Romney made his pick days before Kristol’s magazine started banging the drum for Ryan.
“Just got an email from the Romney campaign emphasizing that Gov. Romney made the choice before Steve [Hayes] and I wrote our repeated editorials and I take their word for it,” Kristol said.
According to Kristol’s sources, Romney picked Ryan on Aug. 1, the day he returned from Poland.
