Large blocks of ice last much longer than cubes, and as they melt they provide nice clean cold drinking water.

Jugs of water work just as well in the freezer if you don't have enough food to fill it.

Add alot of ice and those gel packs they sale in the grocery stores to freeze if you are diabetic
