There's no evidence Amber Guyger knew Botham Jean. There has been a picture going round social media that purports to show both of them, but the person they are saying is Guyger is not her.

Guyger did not get into the apartment. Her key fob wouldn't open the door (duh! Why would it). She shot Jean as he was opening the door. Jean's apartment had a unique red mat outside the door that should have been a clue to Guyger that she was at the wrong place.
