The headline that she mistakenly entered the wrong apartment is speculation too. We simply don’t k ow if that’s true, but that’s the way this issue has been framed from the start. If it had been he who shot her in her own apartment this would not be the story.

I just find it self serving for the PD to put out the state of mind of the shooter at the time of the crime, that's not how it usually works. I can guarantee if the shooter had been a black male and the victim a white female, the headline would be "Beloved pillar of the community shot in cold blood by heartless animal" or something similar. There would be none of this, "The shooter had a long day at work and mistakenly entered the wrong apartment."
