8. Gee, guess we need a little help to understand what an island is.

He truly is an idiot. Thinks he is being profound. He really is impressed with the sound of his own voice.

But SOME of us can hear and recognize limitations when we hear them. We recognize it when we are hearing the language of a truly intelligent person. And his language tells us the opposite of what he thinks he is conveying. Language and geriatric experts could tell us the technical side of what we are seeing with tRump. But a past record of his language skills compared with his current language tells us something is very different about his verbal skills. He may be functioning on a “normal” level for day to day living skills but he is definitely showing signs of decline.

Anyone of us who has dealt with a friend or relative who eventually went on to show clear sign of dementia know that there were clues long before the full blown disease appeared. Loss of language skills was often among the first noticeable symptoms.
