Then line up your talking points abiut how the current administration has an effect on the issue. You can usually find federal and state examples to prove your point.

I'm currently working on convincing a young woman to vote and I am making progress. Now she is listening to me and letting me talk about women's health issues and proposed cut backs on Medicaid and Medkicaid.

It's a long slow process, but plant the seeds and water gently.
