For the most part, you don't "pick" a frat...they pick you. Sure, you rush and interview but when you join a frat, it's because they picked you.

The members of the frat look at you and your actions over the past weeks/months of rush and say - "yeah, he's one of us".

DKE was a notorious frat on Yale's campus with years of debauchery including what it means when a girl says no or yes. These are the guys who looked at Brett Kavanaugh as a late freshman, maybe sophomore depending on Yale's rush rules, and they said "he's just like us, he'll fit in well". They tested him, how much was too much alcohol, how far would he push a women at parties, how high would he carry that flag of women's underwear.

Obviously, he passed the test.

Guys who knew how to drink to blackout, spike girls' drinks, and outwardly proclaim their sexual assault goals...they're pros at it...they passed judgment contemporaneously on Brett back in 1984-85 and said...He's just like us.
