(13,365 posts)26. Likewise, I miss Berry Gordy's MOTOWN of the 60s/70s with the Funk Brothers playing the melodies
of the real singers (Temptations, Supremes etc). The hip hop sounds (to me anyway) like just reciting (talking voice) of lyrics with no melody. No bass, soprano, falsetto, just talking loud to the beat.
