And history in the sense of 50 years from now vs. 5,000 years from now?
In 50 years, societies are overthrown, millions are displaced/murdered. Some re-education and religious cleansing may happen.
In 5,000 years, traditions can be erased and transformed. Old tribal enmities can be changed and new enmities can be developed. Languages disappear and cultures are constructed.
The repuglicons only care about the 10-50 year view. They couldn't give a fuck if their POTUS or SCOTUS nominee was found to be a psychopath who was intentionally undermining a democratic system. Just give them their "deserved" ROI.
