If Rape-anaugh was withdrawn today, Trump will nominate some who is just as ideologically retrogressive/revolting/etc., perhaps without so much personal slime.

Rs support Rape-anaugh so vehemently BECAUSE he is opposed by Democrats. Losing/being wrong, in any form or degree, is not an option for these people, even if they have to deny reality. Hell, these people can't even own up to simple grammatical mistakes.

I think Trump will support him to the bitter end not only because of WINNING, but because Rape-anaugh has such a uniquely distorted view regarding investigations and legal proceedings of a sitting president.
