45. Aaaannnnnd... our chance to report is OVER!

Oct 2018

The FBI, by "calling this game" so early, tonight, is signalling they were handcuffed by the White House. They're telling us they've already completed every interview they WERE ALLOWED to do by Trump McGahn and Grassley.

Spl agents know the many people they'd have started off interviewing, and then followed leads from there, were this not just political window dressing. They know how BIs are done, and know this isn't it.

Are most of them Repubs? Absolutely. Wild guess, 80% of them, maybe? But the great majority take great pride in their professionalism, and can and want to doggedly uncover and report the truth, wherever that hunt might lead. Even most of the Trump-voting ones.

The agents know when they're being used, and especially when that stops them from doing their job well, they resent it. I have little doubt this whole little exercise infuriated no small number of them.

But they salute (figuratively) and obey their orders anyway.

Yes, we just got steamrollered by an authoritarian White House, and its unhappy tool this week, the FBI.

Everybody should have realized from the second the White House refused to show anybody except Repub senators what the content of Trump's orders to the FBI were, that this was going to be a sham. Maybe, MAYBE, if everybody on our side had recognized that IMMEDIATELY, we could have done this. Made a spectacle of witnesses lining up outside of FBI offices, and being sent away, in front of cameras.

I'll say it again, Christopher Wray should have resigned rather that let his agency be used in such a corrupt way. This farce is going to be remembered as a huge black mark on its reputation.

Watch: now after 2 years of smearimg and undermining the FBI Trump's going to be praising its thoroughness accuracy and integrity to the heavens.
