25. "Being measured and civil has worked out so well for our country."

I have friends (Thankfully the number since 2016 has gotten tiny) who actually believe that there are thuglicans who can still be reasoned with where health care is concerned They're what you'd call devout Catholics (I haven't been a devout/practicing Catholic since about 1999), and they try to see the good in people. There's no good in people like McConnell, Ryan, Graham, tRump who don't CARE if people/children/etc. die due to lack of decent health care. I truly believe in the power of prayer and am extremely spiritual. But, I'm not delusional or stupid enough to think that tRump/most thuglicans care about anybody but themselves, their donors, the richest 1% of white males & corporations.
