47. Thank You. Such a beautiful song

Ray hasn't lost his voice, it's so distinctive and perfectly plaintive for that piece. I saw him on tour where he told stories about his songs. Waterloo Sunset was a very special and personal song for him. He was so identified with it that he kept it secret during the whole time he was writing it because he had to get it right befor sharing any of it. The rest of the Kinks didn't hear it until Ray was ready to record it.
