We are in this for the long haul.

Having Kavanaugh on the court is a disaster, yes. But there are things we can do, if we can gain the majority.

If we don't win at least one house and preferably both, it would be cataclysmic for the country – and if we'd been successful in our efforts to block Kavanaugh, as much as I wanted it and worked for it, might well have galvanized Republican voters and those who lean conservative. We already have to have overwhelming numbers to ensure Putin's efforts don't succeed, so I'm at least thankful that we may not have that extra incentive causing higher voter turnout.

Having Democrats in control of Congress or at least the House and providing a check on Trump is a must.
