Trump and his ugly old minions would have been so pissed. That there would be no restraints at all of the new Selection.. Trump would never let up and McConnell and the rest of his crap friends would have gone all out to find the most horrible Right Wing Judge they could.. The entire Rep. Party would gather any tactics they could to confirm Trump's new pick!
