30. There's a trap in that logic

Women are not a homogeneous group. 51% of white women voted for Trump - even after the p***y grabbing comment. Some women are Deb Fischer and Susan Collins and Joni Ernst and Nikki Haley and Jeannine Pirro and Laura Ingraham. Some are fundies; some don't really believe the courts will take their rights; some don't care about reproductive rights; some see the sexual status quo between the men and women as "just the way things are"; some are just as rascist, bigoted, homophobic as any man; some don't see the big deal about a guy grabbing a gal on the bust or the backside; and some are just terrified that the world is going to Hell and want that solved - democracy be damned.

Progressive women need not only to shame old white men - they need to shame the mostly-white conservative women who had also played a large role in enabling conservatism's attacks on freedom.
