Meanwhile, the media convene a series of all-star panels to ponder the question of why women don't report their assaults right away. Republicans in Congress ruminate about legislation that would punish women for reporting assaults that don't result in a conviction beyond a reasonable doubt in a jury trial and that survives every conceivable appeal.

Okay, maybe that last sentence isn't 100% factual. Yet.
