2. I heard a sheriff say they were getting calls to rescue people. Too late. They can't do it now!

Many people told the dispatchers, "BUT WE DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE THIS BAD!!"

(well, they got the "didn't think" part right and it will cost them their lives)
