War hero senator blasts Trump for saying Nunes deserves Medal of Honor [View all]

With his insulting remarks, Trump combined two of his favorite activities: undermining the Russia investigation and disrespecting our military.

Trump said Thursday that Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) deserves “the Medal of Honor” for relentlessly undermining the Russia investigation — which earned Trump a sharp rebuke from a combat veteran serving in the U.S. Senate.

During a rambling 46-minute interview on “Fox & Friends” Thursday morning, Trump went on an extended rant about the Republican campaign to smear the Russia investigation. He claimed that Nunes, who has led this dishonest effort, should be awarded our nation’s highest military honor for his “bravery.”

“Devin Nunes should get the Medal of Honor,” Trump said. “What he’s gone through, and his bravery, he should get a very important medal.” Or, Trump added, perhaps Nunes should get the Medal of Freedom, a civilian honor.

This comment drew the ire of Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), a U.S. Army veteran who lost both her legs while serving in the Iraq War.

So this asshole, asks the service to get claims in for the medal of honor out, so that he looks like he important in his mind, to perform the function, like he is handing out candy on Halloween, and then to just push the media buttons some more he comes up with this shit............................that he wants to give a medal to a fellow traitor..................
