15. That kind of thing is pretty common nowadays

Aug 2012

A lot of house members spend as little time in Washington as they can get away with. I think the trend now is to have your home life in your district and commute to Washington. I think in the past it was more common for House members to own/rent homes in the DC area, but not anymore.

I think they often room together and some sleep in their offices.
