83. I only have one reservation about liking Beto, and it's frankly unreasonable.

I do like Beto and will be voting for him every bit as much as I will be voting against Cruz. I have no reservations on either score and will be doing so with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. He's admirable, he's got lots of wonderful qualities, and the absolute worst thing I can say about the guy is that he made some mistakes when he was younger. Even there, he owns those mistakes, so my tiny part of the electorate can forgive him quite easily.

That said, the guy is a fountain of superhuman energy and optimism. I can only take close proximity to people like that for so long before I just want to strangle them. In small doses--like I get from political figures I don't personally deal with--that's great. But if you locked me in a room with him, I have no doubt that just watching him would exhaust me inside of 24 hours.

How that could possibly be a genuine fault on Beto's part, I have no idea.
