Certain rural portions and parts of the Panhandle might be considered "Deep South" culturally, but the entire state is a diverse mix.
The only states I view as entirely "Deep South" would be Alabama, Mississippi, and maybe Louisiana. There are also large portions of Georgia that would fall under the catagory, but the Atlanta area makes things somewhat different.

I put deep south. The interesting thing is the area I live in is full of rich, retired, republicans.
