It's not even clear that he has a purpose for making these things up. He just... makes them up. Just because he can.

And the Trumpists there in Texas, who KNOW he's just making things up-- something that makes them look like idiots ("little boats in a hurricane&quot -- they just nod and cheer, because the diarrhea is falling out of THAT mouth.
