35. I have read a number of books and seen films about the Holocaust.

I used to ask myself "why didn't they get out in time?" And now I know. Toward the end, it happened faster than they could absorb it. They couldn't believe what was happening all around them. How could this be happening here? But it did and it ended up being the greatest nightmare of the 20th century and nobody could stop it for a long time. By the time they did millions had been murdered and tortured to death for no reason other than they happened to be the "wrong" kinds of people. We cannot let this happen again.

We always say that it never will happen again, but honestly, I am not so sure. I know for a fact that there are many people who would like it to.
