Showing Original Post only (View all)Meghan McCain: I Contributed to the Country's Polarization by Saying I 'Hate' Hillary Clinton [View all]
by Ken Meyer | Oct 25th, 2018, 11:51 am
The View, on Thursday, discussed the continued deterioration of political discourse. And co-host Meghan McCain acknowledged that she has played a role with some of her heated commentary in the past.
As the nation deals with the fallout from this weeks multiple bomb scares, McCain told her colleagues that shes done a lot of soul searching recently about the rhetoric she puts forward on TV. She specifically cited a moment earlier this year when she embraced President Donald Trumps Crooked Hillary moniker for Hillary Clinton.
I said I hate Hillary Clinton and I called her Crooked Hillary and its one of the things I regret doing because I contributed on television. Now this is not saying that I agree with her. I have many vast differences of opinion on philosophy and ideology and I didnt think she was a great candidate, but hate is not a word that should be coming out of my mouth on television about someone of a different political persuasion.
McCain called on media figures to hold themselves accountable to the same standard that I would like to hold the president.

I hope she means what she says. She's been quite shrill & heavy on the false equivalencies lately.

Meghan is deplorable too. She enthusiastically campaigned and voted for Sarah Palin.
