I have seen some claim the attack on the synagogue wasn't really about anti-Semitism, but about immigration. The anti-Semitism was "secondary". No, the immigration was secondary. The attack was anti-Semitic and it was because Jews are seen as rabble-rousers who try to overthrow a society by empowering other minorities, this was true during the US civil rights movement too. Yeah, did you know the Jews were behind blacks being treated as equals?! That was a rallying cry of the Klan. As much as they hated blacks, they hated Jews as much because we were trying to destroy "white society", which is what that POS gunman was accusing us of again.
